B2B Appointment Setter – Wealth Management & Financial Services (Remote)
Location: Remote (South Africa preferred)
Employment Type: Part-Time, Hourly (initial 60–90 day trial, with the opportunity to move to full-time)
Experience Required: 1–3 years of B2B appointment setting, lead qualification, or outbound business development preferred
Working Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week during U.S. Eastern business hours
Language Requirement: Excellent spoken and written English
About the Role
US Job Finders is seeking a polished, personable B2B Appointment Setter to support a growing U.S.-based wealth management and financial advisory firm. This is a new position created to drive revenue growth by filling the advisory team’s calendar with qualified, well-informed meetings.
You will make outbound calls to business owners, high-income professionals, and executives, and you will reach out to CPA firms, attorneys, and other professionals to schedule introductory Centers of Influence (COI) meetings. Your job is not to hit a call quota. It is to start thoughtful conversations, identify the right decision-maker, and book appointments with people who understand why they are meeting and have agreed to attend.
You do not need a financial background. We are looking for someone with strong B2B calling experience, a professional telephone presence, and the curiosity to learn the basics of 401(k) plans and retirement planning well enough to explain what the firm does. The firm’s business development partner will help train you, refine outreach scripts, and coach you on lead qualification.
Key Responsibilities
Outbound Calling & Lead Follow-Up
Conduct outbound calls to existing leads, referrals, and targeted prospect lists.
Engage business owners, high-income professionals, executives, and other qualified prospects in clear, confident, consultative conversations.
Identify the appropriate decision-maker, including getting past office managers and gatekeepers, and assess interest based on the objectives of each campaign.
Follow up consistently and on time with assigned leads until an appointment is booked or the lead is properly closed out.
Centers of Influence (COI) Outreach
Contact CPA firms, attorneys, and other professionals to schedule introductory meetings with the advisory team.
Explain the purpose of each meeting clearly so that the professional understands the value of connecting and agrees to participate.
Appointment Setting & Calendar Coordination
Secure qualified appointments with prospective clients and strategic referral partners, and make sure each prospect understands what the meeting is about.
Coordinate advisor calendars, send confirmations and reminders, and follow up to protect attendance.
Qualify every appointment against the advisory team’s established criteria before it is placed on the calendar.
CRM, Reporting & Team Communication
Maintain accurate CRM (or spreadsheet) records of call activity, prospect information, call outcomes, appointment status, and next steps.
Provide dependable reporting and communication to the team and attend scheduled check-ins.
Adapt to different prospecting campaigns as the advisory team’s business development priorities change.
Learning the Business
Develop a high-level working knowledge of 401(k) plans, wealth management, and retirement planning, enough to explain what the firm does and to speak comfortably with CPAs and attorneys.
Apply feedback from the firm’s business development partner to improve scripts, call quality, and appointment quality.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Communication: Excellent spoken and written English with clear articulation, a professional telephone presence, and the confidence to speak with business owners, executives, and other professionals.
Lead Qualification: Ability to identify decision-makers, gauge interest, and book appointments with people who understand the purpose of the meeting.
Consultative Approach: Strong interpersonal skills and a professional, relationship-first style rather than aggressive sales tactics.
Willingness to Learn: Able to quickly pick up the basics of 401(k) retirement plans and wealth management. No financial background or licenses are required.
Technical Proficiency: Experience with a CRM or spreadsheet for tracking activity, plus email, appointment-scheduling tools, and basic productivity software.
Organization & Accountability: Strong time management, attention to detail, consistent follow-up, and accurate documentation of outreach.
Reliability: Able to keep an agreed weekly schedule of roughly 20 hours during U.S. Eastern business hours, with some flexibility based on prospect availability and campaign needs.
Integrity: High ethical standards and respect for confidential information. Employment verification, reference checks, and criminal background screening will be conducted where available and permitted by law. A history of fraud, theft, financial misconduct, identity theft, or misuse of confidential information will not be considered.
Nice to Have
Prior experience contacting CPAs, attorneys, or other professional firms to schedule introductory meetings.
Background in financial services, wealth management, insurance, or retirement plans.
Relevant credentials such as the CFP® designation or FINRA securities licenses (not required).
Experience with a power dialer or sales engagement platform.
Spanish language skills.
Polished, British-style English communication is welcome but not required.
Technology & Systems
A basic CRM or Excel/Google Sheets for call and appointment tracking
Email and appointment-scheduling or calendar tools
A reliable phone and internet connection
Working Hours
Approximately 20 hours per week during U.S. Eastern business hours, with calling schedules aligned to the best times to reach business owners, executives, and professional referral partners. You will be expected to keep a reliable, agreed-upon weekly schedule and attend team check-ins.
This is a part-time, hourly remote position that begins with a 60–90 day trial and may transition to full-time based on performance and business needs.
Who You Are
Professional and polished: you understand that every call represents the firm’s brand and reputation.
Trustworthy: honest, sound in your judgment, and careful with confidential information.
Accountable: you take ownership, follow through on commitments, and consistently deliver quality work.
Coachable: you welcome feedback, keep improving, and adapt when priorities change.
Relationship-minded: you value meaningful conversations and qualified appointments over simply making dials.
What We Offer
Hourly, part-time compensation based on experience
100% remote work environment
The opportunity to move to a full-time role based on performance
Potential for additional hours and/or a performance bonus structure as outreach campaigns expand
Hands-on training, script refinement, and ongoing coaching from an experienced business development partner
Quarterly performance reviews with clear feedback
The chance to join a growing U.S. firm at the start of its offshore program, with room to grow into additional business development and administrative responsibilities
What Success Looks Like
A steady flow of qualified appointments booked with the right decision-makers and referral partners.
Prospects who show up, because they understand and agreed to the purpose of the meeting.
Appointments that consistently meet the advisory team’s qualification criteria.
Consistent outbound activity and timely follow-up on every assigned lead.
Clean, accurate CRM records that show call outcomes, appointments, and next steps.
An advisory team that spends its time in productive meetings rather than chasing leads, and that is confident in expanding the program.
